The Crucifly
by JMA

Project: The Crucifly Audio Book
Ok, here's what I'm trying to do. Over the next however-long-it-takes I'm going to  turn this story into an audio book by recording character lines and adding them into the narration. Want in? I need people (more accurately, I need their voices) to fill various roles. Roles vary from one or two lines, to major speaking parts, so there's something in here for everyone.  Many of the characters are teenagers, but I'm content using adult voices.

Story Overview
This Young Adult (PG 15) story is set in a small country town (in Australia, but that's not really important- please don't try to do the accent) where a small group of High School students decide to  skip a school disco and hang out in the town.  Suddenly they wake up in a small dark container...all except one. They're alone, they're helpless and every so often another person disappears. Stir your coffee yet?

I started writing this when I was in early High School, and finished it over a year ago.

How Does This Work?
Have you ever listened to an Audio Book where an actor narrates and puts on a voice when they read a line of dialogue? Well it's kinda like that, except instead of putting on a voice, another person reads the line. For example:

"Did you see Cerri Jessop's hair! It looked like she stuck her finger in an electric socket," She bitched about, well, me.

The NARRATOR (in this case it's the character Cerri) says what is written in bold. The actor playing  Rebecca will say the dialogue in Red. (my apologies to all colourbling people, but I couldn't think of better colours to use)

Can I Read The Story?
Sure, why the hell not. These links will take you to where the story is archived.
